Thank you Courtenay’s and GP Vanier James Shepherd

We would like to recognize a wonderful, hard working, community volunteer.

Courtenay’s James Shepherd has retired as our Vancouver Island representative for the BC High School Annual Grade 9 Boys Invitational Provincial Basketball Championships and moved into the Junior Boys ranks. James, a community coach, has volunteered many many hours over the years as a Grade 9 coach at GP Vanier and as our Vancouver Island Grade 9 Rep ensuring that the Island’s best moved onto our Championships. A great highlight was James, along with Larry Street, bringing the Grade 9 Championships to Courtenay in 2017, where we were hosted by GP Vanier, Lake Trail, Highland and Mark Isfeld Secondary Schools. All the best to James!
