St George’s over Argyle!

St. George’s Saints captured their 2nd Grade 9 Tournament Championship.
The Saints took a 13 point 1st quarter lead and held a 10 to 14 margin throughout the game leading to a 71 – 55 win over Argyle Pipers in the Championship Final.

Burnaby South Rebels took 3rd place with a very close 67 – 60 win over Salish Wolves. Salish took a 1st quarter lead with the Rebels having a strong 2nd and tied the game at the half. Baskets were traded in the 3rd and the teams entered the 4th quarter tied again. The Rebels pulled out the win by outscoring the Wolves 20 – 13 in the final frame.

Salish Wolves earned the 2024 Sportsmanship Award.

And St. George’s Saints #14 Ian Tyler played a great Tourney to earn the 2024 Tournament Most Valuable Player Award.
