Opening Round Upset

#4 Seed MEI Eagles could not overcome #12 Seed Argyle Pipers relentless press and went down 88 to 63 in the opening game of the 2015 BC Gr9 Championships.

The first game, the first upset.

High scorer for Argyle was #21 Alex Wallace with 28 points, for MEI #11 Amrazz Dhillion had 12. Player of the Game was Argyle’s point guard #11 Declan Confortin scoring 17.

In the 2nd game of the evening, #5 Seed St. George’s Saints held off a late rally by #12 Seed Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs to hang on for a 47 – 42 win to advance to the Championship side of the draw.
High scorer for the Saints was #7 Chris Douglas with 16 points, for the Bulldogs #35 Seyoung Choi had 21. Player of the Game was the Saints’ power forward #12 Sam Sirlin with 10.
