Championship Finals 2013

An amazing Final! Dr Knox outlasting Kitsilano, 114 to 94 in front of a packed house. That’s right 114 to 94, shattering all kinds of Provincial Scoring Records including most team points in a game, half, quarter, most team points in a final and most points by a player in a final. Dr Knox’s Parker Simson scored 46 and Howard Chang scored 40 for Kits (and Howard played over half a game with 4 fouls). Parker earned MVP Honours with Howard making the First All-Star Team. RC Palmer placed 3rd, defeating Vancouver College 61 – 48. RC Palmer was also awarded the Provincial Sportsmanship Award, this year named the Dunc Anderson Sportsmanship Memorial Award. RC Palmer received 56 out of a possible 60 points in capturing the Award (scoring awarded by the Game Directors and Referees during the Tournament). Duncan’s Family presented the Award to Rob Brown, Palmer’s Coach. Congratulations to the Coaches, Players and Parents and a Big Thank you to St John’s (Jonathan Kinman & Allan Moore) and Kits (Randy Coutts, Jim Merz, Robb Bayne, Rainer Mehl and the Kits Parent Group), you were all great hosts!! WELL DONE!
