A Thrilling Victory and a Championship for Burnaby South

It was a great final game that saw South start strong and take a 24 – 13 lead into the 2nd quarter. VC fought their way back through to narrow the margin to 38 – 30 at the half and go ahead 45 – 43 by the end of an intense 3rd. South would not be denied, scoring 18 to VC’s 7 in the 4th quarter for a 62 – 52 win for Burnaby South’s 1st BC Gr9 Boys Championship. In the 16 year history of the Tournament, this is Burnaby South’s first title after making the Final 3 times while Vancouver College has made the Final 7 times (a Tourney Record) and winning 5 times (another Tourney Record).
