We are very pleased to announce that the 27th Annual Grade 9 Boys Basketball Invitational Tournament has expanded to 24 teams.
We began as a 16 team Tournament In the 1996 – 1997 basketball season when there were less than 90 Grade 9 boys teams in BC. As the high school teams increased, the Grade 9 Tourney has grown. In 2018, we added 4 more teams and this year with about 140 Grade 9 boys basketball teams, we have expanded to 24 teams.
Throughout these past 27 years, we couldn’t be happier to observe the growth of grade 9 boys basketball. Its wonderful to see so many developing athletes compete with great desire and intensity and we are pleased that its value is being acknowledged as something to strive for.
