At the Wildcard – its WV – Fox – VC – QE!

At the Annual Grade 9 Boys Basketball Invitational Wildcard Tournament at WJ Mouat and Abby Sr, West Van, Fox, Van College and QE all advanced to the Centennial next week.
Scoresheets are posted at 2024 Game Results.

Game 1 – West Vancouver Highlanders took an early lead and beat Heritage Woods Kodiaks 56 – 36

Game 2 – Terry Fox Ravens over Hugh McRoberts Strikers 50 – 47 in a slow first half, but a back and forth 3rd and 4th quarter with McRoberts missing a half court possible tying 3, that bounced off the rim at the buzzer.

Game 3 – Vancouver College Fighting Irish won against RE Mountain Eagles 65 – 36: it started close but VC’s smothering defense wore out a very game Mountain team.

Game 4 – Queen Elizabeth Royals overpowered MEI Eagles 63 – 37; the game started strong but QE slowly and steadily pulled away.

And a big thank you to Coach Bo Sidhu, Mouat Vice Principal and Abby Sr Coach and his crew at both schools for their great help in making this happen.
