And in the Championship Final, Saturday night, it was Dover Bay Dolphins over the Oak Bay Bays 63 – 49. Both teams taking the 2 Vancouver Island Provincial Berths.

Ramblers, Sabres & Greyhounds survive the Wildcard

Maple Ridge Ramblers, Guildford Park Sabres, and Pt. Grey Greyhounds moved through the Wildcard Tourney to advance to the Provincials.

In Game 5, Maple Ridge Ramblers needed overtime to beat Pt. Grey Greyhounds 73 (OT) – 66. Game 6 action saw Guildford Park Sabres down Charles Best Blue Devils 62 – 37. Later in the day the 2 losers from Game 5 and Game 6 met in Game 7, with the winner advancing. Pt. Grey, in a very exciting game, held off Charles Best 60 – 55.

North Delta – Fraser South Zone Champions!

At the Fraser South Zone Championships, the North Delta Huskies held off the Elgin Park Orcas for a very tight win 49 – 44. Both teams advance to the Provincials next week, where the Huskies and Orcas may meet again.

Richmond Colts captured the Fraser South #3 berth to advance to the Provincials with a 43 – 29 win over North Surrey Spartans. The Spartans move onto the Provincial Wildcard Tourney as Fraser South #4.

Guildford Park Sabres defeated Fleetwood Park Dragons 65 – 50 to take the Fraser South #5 spot and advance to the Provincial Wildcard Tourney.

Kits is #1 in Vancouver!

In the Vancouver City Zone Final, Kitsilano Blue Demons over Charles Tupper Tigers 63 – 52 in a very exciting game. Kits and Tupper move onto the Provincials.

In the 3rd – 4th place game, Pt. Grey Greyhounds took 3rd place and a spot in the Provincial Wildcard Tourney with a 63 – 45 win over the Winston Churchill Bulldogs.
